This organization is at the UT-Austin School of Journalism and Media. I joined the organization when it was first founded. Since then, I have had the opportunity to help various students develop graphics for their projects.
School of Journalism Hackathon: Head of Design Feb 2018 – Nov 2018
An event hosted by the UT-Austin School of Journalism and Media. I designed the logo, t-shirts, posters and directional signs. I also assisted with the marketing and social media strategy. On the day of I helped to facilitate the event and ensure it ran smoothly.
The Drag Audio Production House: Graphic Designer and Web Developer Jan 2018 – Aug 2021
This operation is part of the UT-Austin School of Journalism and Media. I created podcast artwork for shows cosponsored by organizations such as KUT, the Austin American Statesman, El Universo and Texas Book Festival. I also designed The Drag’s branding, including the logo. I have worked alongside multiple groups of students over various semesters in order to bring their vision for their podcast branding to life as well as assisting them in creating marketing and social media plans to help showcase their work.
Texas Student Media at the University of Texas: Design Intern April 2019 – Dec 2019
I designed and formatted special editions of The Daily Texan including the Orientation Edition, the Housing Edition, and the print editions of BurntX. I also designed advertisements for clients and worked on various stand-alone projects, including programs for the 2019 Western Association of University Publication Managers Conference. On multiple occasions I was able to complete complex graphics with a same day turn around to meet last minute deadlines.
Texas Connect at the University of Texas: Design Intern April 2019 – Dec 2019
Texas Connect is an intercampus magazine produced for University staff. I worked on the second, third, and fourth edition of the magazine, formatting spreads and graphics. While working there I was able to gain a strong grasp of designing for print versus just digital and experience working alongside a staff of designers, writers and a marketing team.
Effin Creative: Independent Design Contractor April 2020 – Aug 2020
I worked on numerous branding and design projects, from graphics, brand guidelines, creating and designing documentation for various businesses. I was able to assist the company when the workload was too large for their permanent staff.

University of Texas Media Ethics Initiative: Research Scholar Aug 2020 – May 2021
As a research scholar for the Media Ethics Initiative I was responsible for researching and writing case studies over ethical situations involving media and communication entities. The purpose of these case studies is for scholarly use by students in communication ethics related courses. My main focus has been on case studies centered around journalistic and press ethical issues.
Pappas Catering: Lead Server Aug 2018 – March 2021
I was a lead server, overseeing teams of up to 20+ staff members at events with up to 500+ guests. I ensured that the event did not get behind schedule, food quality and the quality of service.

I am a lead server in charge of managing staff, keeping up with event schedule, ensuring food quality and service quality. I work closely with the wedding coordinator to make sure the event is successful and the guests are well taken care of and happy.
